Hello, does anyone know if NXEA are doing any 47 drags this year?

I don't "know" but consider it extremely unlikely unfortunately. NXEC usually use HSTs for diversions and, if there were any electric sets being hauled over non-electrified routes, then EWS/DBS would almost certainly use Class 67s. EWS/DBS do have Class 47s back on their Safety Case for Compass railtours (I think) using Riveria Vlass 47s but I think it very unlikely they would ever be used on drags.

I think you would be better off asking your question on the WNXX forum

Actually he's asking about NXEA (East Anglia) which I guess means Norwich - Great Yarmouth drags and possibly Lowestoft for the Air Show. Colin.

The Yarmouth drags usually attract a class 47 for the Norwich - Yarmouth leg when running, hence the interest.

According to posts on wnxxforum.net DRS will be taking over the Thunderbird duties on NXEA from Monday, replacing Cotswold Rail/Advenza.

Likely still be be 47/8's, i suppose hoping for them to burst so a 37/6 produces is asking too much......:D

Answers the question of why DRS has been aquiring so many ETH loco's of late.
