    We've just started using this lubricant on the GWSR PWay. Practical experience is a bit mixed, and the stuff is eye-wateringly expensive.

    Does anyone want to share their own experience with this stuff?

    It should make fishplate greasing a lot easier, and with fewer people. Drawback is that you have to do it more often.

    Initially we had practical problems with the application gun getting blocked. Eventually we concluded that the cause was that we hadn't shaken the lubricant thoroughly, before filling the backpack. So that is an important point. Shake the stuff well before refilling! Apparently the Teflon can separate out and that makes waxy lumps.

    The second issue we have had, and still have, is that the joint between the supply pipe and the gun keeps working loose, and leaking all over you. The thread is plastic, so you can't over tighten. The supply pipe is stiff and almost inflexible, so whenever you adjust the angle of the gun this way and that to get at different parts of the fishplate, the damned joint unscrews. It can't do anything but! It looks to us like a design issue.
