Found this on the Hattons website and thought it looks like quite a bargain.

What I was wandering was, how out of place do people think it would really look on a british layout? Admittedly it's 1:87 but given that industrial engines were built for internal loading gauges being a bit on the short side wouldn't be such a problem. The couplings could be changed and the livery and logo aren't noticeably foreign. Industrial locomotives are pretty rare anyway so casting the net a bit wider is always worth considering. Cheers for any thoughts

As a bit of an industrial connoisseur, the one thing about it which really screams 'foreign' is the cab. That said, with enough searching you could probably find an appropriate prototype, prototype for everything and all that! Looks like it could be bashed into something VERY good, however.

try looking on ebay.de rather than ebay.co.uk, you may find prices considerably less for this model.
Most sellers who advertise as "ships to Germany only", will gladly quote for UK shipping if asked, usually around 10 euro.
Most speak english, or at least understand the question. (Versand = Shipping)
Look for the paypal logo (easy to pay) and "Gleichstrom" indicates "DC".

I do a lot of shopping there :0)

As for the cab, remove the window and it looks distinctly more british straight away some versions have wasp ends.
Couplings are easy to swap, liliput couplings can be swapped with Bachmann (they are the same company/chinese factory afterall)

    I did a quick look

69 Euro you could buy it without the auction, several listings.
