Due to the financial state of Merseytravel it would appear that one of the three ferries will be sold as surplus to requirements.
Rumour has it that 'Royal Daffodil' (ex-'Overchurch') will be the one to be sold.
This is the newest of the three, being built at Cammell Lairds in 1962.
She had a major rebuild in 1999 at Manchester Dry Docks, with complete machinery renewal & major steelwork replacement. The forward gangway access was done away with & large lounges created on both decks.
Hopefully she will stay in the British Isles, as she would be ideal for cruising on rivers such as the Thames.

    Bob.
