This model (in need of some TLC) is a family heirloom of a friend. 20220923_190710.jpg
(The 50p piece is to give an idea of scale.)
Origin is unknown, but it was plainly a quality item in its day, probably late 19th Century. Certainly it must have been pricey.
One grandfather was a chauffeur to Lord Mountstewart in Ireland (until shot by the Irregulars during the Civil War). Another branch had some connection to Osborne House towards the end of Queen Victoria's life. Whether, or not, these give a clue as to how it came into their family, I do not know.
If anyone knows of a restorer, preferably not too far from Bristol, who may be interested in fettling it, I would be grateful for the details (to pass on).
    Cheers,
    Pat

Somebody was brave to put a dusty rusty model on a light coloured sofa! I can only guess that their partner was out at the time.
Most of the restorers I have used are pretty full at the moment. I would suggest first deciding what you want the restoration to consist of. Is it to be a display or regularly used item? Is the intention a sympathetic rebuild, a full rebuild with modern parts or just a put back as is?
These questions will help to identify who could help.
