It is relatively easy to keep track of when locomotives move from one railway to another or when another loco is preserved. This is not quite the case with carriages and wagons. Whilst we have the carriage database on the VCT website there is no easy way to monitor what vehicles have moved around.

So if you know of any movements then please post them to this thread so that those involved in C&W can keep track.

    To start the ball rolling:

BR POS 80402 has arrived at the Nene Valley Railway
BR BSK 35043 has left the NVR (I believe for the Swindon & Cricklade Railway)

During this winter, the Spa Valley and Caledonian Railways swapped SK 25857 (heading North) and SO 4809 (which headed South).

The Spa Valley also recently sent two tool vans for scrap at Booths having stripped them for spares - 975476 & 975499

Slight thread hijack: Isn't Greasley Buffet car E9115E for sale from Mangapps or something? The rumour mill was in full swing suggesting the Bluebell were keen a few weekends back? Anyway if it is for sale I imagine that would be moving somewhere soon :)

On the NYMR, we have recently had 4921 and 5001 (both BR Mark 1 TSOs) arrive from Northampton and Lamport, still owned by same person, an NYMR member. On long term loan to NYMR. BSO 9225 to follow once use at N&LR on Santas complete.

An extra 3 coaches mean something else is likely to have to go or at least disappear from track connected to the rest of the Railway by Easter!

One on the way out is Chocolate & Cream RBR 1666 is approved for component recovery and disposal in the near future due to body work condition.

they have been bought in to assist with the major trackworks going on in swanage station. The bay platform at swanage is in the process of being bought into use, should be usable by early next year. These works are generating large amounts of spoil that needs disposing of away from swanage, mainly large amounts of clay. The wagons are on hire from EWS, but as far as i know there is no date for them to return to EWS as their mainline FTR tickets have now expired so they are not considered fit to run on network rail metals

As Dan has said, they have been hired in for a specific and highly useful purpose, which will enable us to run an ever more intensive service. :smt002

I see from the Ponypool & Blaenavon site that they have taken delivery of the Maunsell TPO S4958S formerly at the Mid Hants, whilst two Collet brake thirds 5539 and 5500 have left for the Gloucs & Warks.
