    Hello.

    Help please, Engine model 4 YCL ruston diesel . In a narrow gauge loco. Does any one know of a current oil filter to fit this engine. The original filter is of a mesch with felt construction. Definately not fit for further use.

    Near the bottom of the page it includes "YC lube oil strainer"

    Thank you Nick and others who have helped out on this one.

    Concluded that a kit is available to refresh the original engine oil filter assembly. It is by HIFI SN 046 . Its a felt type of filter attached to a stainless steel mesch which has two felt washers to make good seals.

    It may be of use to others to know it is available.

    It fits beautifully.
