so it starts tomorrow and no posts about it! well the ECS moved from Carnforth today hauled by a class 37 just before 1pm, Scots Guardsman went to York last Friday, and should do the first couple of weeks, hopefully there will be some reports here and maybe some photo's too. cheers.

 

61306 would be very suitable if it becomes registered in time and made available by the owner.

 

I hope so as I live in the south so would struggle to travel on one of these. The fact there have been no other posts about it yet reflects just how many trips are running at present. Hard, (impossible in fact), to follow them all.

Great vid, the Scot is really powering there.... great to see some more action from 46115, as it's been really quiet this year.

Is there any detail on what might be rostered over the next few weeks?
I cannot make this week unfortunately as I would have loved to have been behind the Scot.
I am looking for a run with anything but a Black 5.

 

She was in very fine form a couple of weeks ago on the 'Aviemore & Inverness' for SRPS. Sounded fantastic!!

5 steam passes in one day, phew! had a good day, sun shone as well.

 

I had my first run out on the SSE yesterday, great run from the Scot in the morning, the noise and power of the climb from Wakefield is an absolute must if you are a fan of steam! Teh rest of the morning loop is a bit of a stagger to be honest, although we finished with a rousing run along the fast after being delayed by an EC express. A couple of shots from yesterday (turned into lovely evening). I'll keep updating this gallery through the coming weeks.

First day of the "SSE" season and the glorious summer continues, it started to rain as I took THIS. :frusty:

 

Actually I think the background cloud adds to the excellent shot...

 

Looks ok to me Stuart, plenty of light on the main subject despite the clouds, anyway I'd rather a sky full of detail rather than the burnt out blinding white light you so often see in some other people's phots.
