On the 17th/18th November, the new GWR Saint No.2999 "Lady Of Legend" will be displayed to the public in BR Lined Black livery.

Will the "Saint" be in steam? If not, I feel a great opportunity would be missed. From the Didcot Railway Centre announcement, it would appear that there's still some work to do before it does. It was, I recall, supposed to be in steam by April 2017, (and many years before that!) but these things always take more time and money than we plan for. At least this will give a very important locomotive class some publicity.

I had a look at the event page on the Didcot website which states that nothing will be in steam for this event as both days are exhibition only days.

It will not operate any trains over the weekend according to the latest GW Echo received earlier this week. It will carry name and number plates of Lady of Quality on oneside and Redguantlet on the other.

Saint wont be in steam and I dont think it will be lined out either . there is also a private event on part of the site on Saturday which presumably will be out of bounds to the public
