I wasn't having a go at you, just pointing it out before someone else did. (pedant)

Thanks for posting those shots and welcome to the "Grumpy, Argumentative, Unappreciative Old Mens Forum" [IMG]

I'm really annoyed as I had the day off and didn't even know "Tornado" was in the area. :smt092

The number of posts on this thread is beginning to make it seem like like a troupe of performing elephants with diarrhea:

Massive, difficult to redirect, awe-inspiring, entertaining, and a source of mind-boggling amounts of excrement when you least expect it. \:D/

I'd pay the A1ST a few quid for it!

    "The Tornado"

    ](*,)

Also that bit about taking fare paying passengers for the first time is wrong. I distinctly remember it doing so at the great Central last year. If they made the distinction of "on the mainline", fine, but they don't...

And they STILL don't know the difference between steam engine and steam train

*Goes away to lie down for a while*

What foot crossing? I can't see anything on the track that indicates a foot crossing, such as boarding in the 4 ft.

Nevertheless it is good to see Tornado out on the main line in revenue earning service =D>

    Regards,

    Dan

The bloke near the up main might as well have stood in the four foot as he was no where near far enough away from the running line and facing away from the direction of travel. ](*,) ](*,)

We had a ride over to a location near Thirsk after seeing 45407 at Diggle, Tornado looked fantastic and well done to the A1 Trust =D> =D> =D>

I will post the video up as soon as I can, the stills were pretty bad as we were shooting into a hazy sun.

    Neil.

There is one bloke stood right next to the track, he is most definitely trespassing. There is a bloke standing next to the track who climbs te embankment, he is trespassing. There are some other people stood inside the fence, they're trespassing. There are some people on the other side of the train climbed on a fence, however that looks like a signal / point working box as opposed to a foot crossing. So, frankly, there is a whole lot of trespass going on in the video. And I'm not 100% convinced about the person whose video it actually is...
