    My next door neighbour and some friends want to go on an organised holiday next year to see and travel behind steam mainly in Germany.
    Has any one any recommendations for well organised trips?

    I can thoroughly recommend Inside Track holidays. They are not purely for enthusiasts, but do trvale by train whenever possible and most include plenty of steam. I have done holidays in the Netherlands, Alsace (which includes the Black Forest in Germany), Austria and Germany (based around Dresden) with them - they also do the Harz and various other parts of Europe (and the UK and Ireland).
