Or indeed LBSC - Birch Grove's firehole door looks remarkably similar, except handed the opposite way. (The rest of the backhead doesn't look remotely similar, just in case anyone thinks I've lost my marbles).

This cant be a full size loco? The reverser is nothing Ive seen. The only thing I can think of an A3 in original form. right hand drive.

 

Must be miniature. Something like the RHDR?

I know the answer to this, as Owen has already posted this photo elsewhere. The rest of the loco is just as impressive as the cab view.

I'm going to say a very nicely built 5" gauge loco, and I'm voting LNER as well...

 

5" or 7-1/4" maybe.

 

Looking at the padded drivers seat they must have a miniature driver as well then !

Look at the pressure gauge. Red line at 100 psi.

 

I concur, the gauges are what gives it away, an LNER live steamer model it definetly is.

 

In view of the pics accommpanying a slightly earlier thread, I suggest that it might be a model of the "Hush Hush"

 

Sorry 61624, not the W1. Southernman has it right, it's a 5'' gauge P1 being built by a member of the Guildford Model Engineering Society and on display at their rally this last weekend. The engine is stunning and everything works, including the booster engine. It has steamed but now needs painting and a tender. Can't wait to see it finished. I thought that was full size until I noticed the gauges!

 

Blow me down. What an absolutely stunning piece of work that is.

And the proof of that is the number of people thinking it was real (myself included!). Just wonderful.
