Early morning start for me on Saturday to go to Haywards Heath and see it. I may see it twice if I go in the evening as looking at the stock movements it seems 44932 isn't going back to Southall after the trip but a diesel is taking it and the stock back down the route down to Brighton meaning its seen in Haywards Heath twice in an hour and before going to Brighton spends 40 minutes waiting at Haywards Heath (though being on the back of the train will make phtographing a bit more difficult

Times can be found here http://www.uksteam.info/tours/t10/t1211e.htm.

Should be good for me. The 1st time i've seen 44932 and also the 3rd Black 5 i've seen here and 2 this year (45407 when it was 45157 back in 2002 but failed in the day and 44871 back in June).

I shall be out for this one. Does anyone know the times for 44932 ECS out of Brighton and back to London somewhen on Sunday morning (I guess)? I work half a mile from Wivelsfield station and would be annoyed if she went past whilst I was at work!

Trip Cancelled at Redhill. Technical problem with the train and no replacement stock is what station staff at Haywards Heath said whether this is the loco of coaches wasn't said . Quite a few people who looked like they were travelling but they're day must have been ruined.

If you did see me Tom I was a teenage lad with short hair and glasses at the south end of the platforms.

Any idea where it was going. Somewhere where the problem can be sorted or has the trip resumed.

Yeah Three Bridges sounds about right as you say there's plenty of sidings there. If it was going slowly then it might be the loco that had the technical problem that was put on the tannoy at Haywards Heath.

''5Z84 reported 94 late at Gatwick due to fault with valve in Redhill area. It then arrived at Three Bridges on the main and crossed into the Down Main Yard and has not moved since''. Thanks to HTH for update. <BJ>

Was at Preston Park Station this morning when the tannoy said the tour was cancelled as the loco had failed at Redhill.

Waited for an hour and a half on a bridge near Brighton before reading Dan's update on here so thanks for that! Meant I could go to work without that feeling it might come past just after I have gone! A shame for all the passengers booked, not to many tours start around Brighton (or run to it for that matter!).

Yeah that's the big shame, we get very few steam tours around Sussex compared to the rest of the network. Down in Eastbourne I think it's now been about 5 years since Tangmere came down here and looking at the mainline steam tours website for next year there again isn't anything for the Eastbourne line. I've managed to get time off work on Monday for when Tornado comes down to Hastings and hope to phot her at Rye but there are no timings released yet so hoping this is still going to run.

If you look on the Steam Dreams website the detailed times for Monday are on that, I am sure they will be on UK Steam soon. I am off Monday so will try again then!
