No second loco, just me seeing double - probably a bit too much wine for dinner.

Shucks! You've spoilt the fun! That 2E+2C was causing some great speculation on the NYMR Forum by those who have no idea what they are talking about!

60019 is to work a KGX - YRK tour on 29th for UK Railtours if anyone was wondering how it's getting to York.

I assume 60019 is running on Thursday with her second tender............question......when she turns at Scarborough presume the second tender has to be uncoupled. Does the second tender have to be turned or can it couple to the proper tender from either end?

    Hope that makes sense.

Theres a buck eye on either end of the second tender so it doesn't matter which way it attaches to either loco or coach.

Not so. The second tender is 'assymetrical' and can only be coupled in one direction - the TPWS attenta (and water couplings, for that matter) are on one end only and its only permitted to be operated when coupled that way round. The loco and both tenders are considered to be a single unit, for shunting/propelling purposes but, rather obviously, there are no turntables capable of accomodating such a length.

I stand corrected, thanks James, least that answers the question. I thought there may have been the flexibilty to run either way depending on the situation but guess not.
