    I remember reading an article about 27's that mentioned rather than remove the Asbestos, it was cocooned and buried! Could anyone shed any more light on this? Many thanks Matt

    Surely Dunstable would be a better option, what with the wealth of asbestos removal experience in the area and prospect of a short preserved line available in the future?

    There's a rumour that somewhere in the bushes of Hampshire theres a class 27 buried under blackberry bushes in a siding, it's green so faded it matches the weeds.
    Probably easier to dig up and you might not need the PPP equipment to enter it.

    Look all I wanted was a bit of info, all of a sudden its been excaveted, reengined, rebogied and regauged...! Any chance I can press Engine Start...When its up and Running. And Im all for BR Blue! Just to start livery Froth!
