Anyone who has visited the Corris knows how restricted the current layout is for us. At the AGM this weekend some rather stunning proposals were on show to start a local consultation process.

Some details are online on the Corris website...

I am sure that soon some of the architect's sketches will also be available which show that the new station will be very similar to the lost station, with an overall roof but sadly not room fo the small shed alongside. Access to the run round loop for the loco will be by use of a sector plate.

Amazingly this is all being managed within the footprint of the doctors' surgery, with a new building replacing that vital local facility.

I agree! But I can't help but wonder if a small turntable would have been better? I can't imagine it would use up much more space and it would open up many (albeit not authentic) photo oppertunities!

    Best wishes with proposals.
