    In the Jan edition of Steam World, page 56, there is a photo, dated "late 1946 or early 1947", of a Ministry of Supply ( LNER J94) with the trailing wheelset removed under the lifting hoist at Bournemouth MPD.

    I've seen a reference to this class of loco being tested at Southampton Docks but why would it have been at Bournemouth?

    Possibly ran hot en-route to an MOD depot for use or storage after being returned from the continent post WW2?
