I am an ex steam loco driver and my railway career started at Stockport 9B in 1949, after 17 years I transferred to Guide Bridge and worked on the Woodhead and associated lines for 20 years, finally finishing with my last 7 years at Manchester Victoria taking early retirement in 1993
