That argument makes a number of assumptions that aren't really justified. For a start the 8 carriages do not allow much leeway for spares or maintenance, and at least one (the Thomson CL 88339) is unlikely to run in a train of corridor stock,...

Not sure I follow that. You have said a fleet of 7, plus a spare nominally "in service". Realistically that requires a number undergoing maintenance, and some undoubtedly undergoing restoration to ensure that number are in service, not...

To be a working volunteer needs a valid HOPS card. For some reason my 2025 card has yet to arrive and none of my hasteners has yielded a response :-( It would appear the 'admin' is letting down the regular appeals for more help.....
