34073 moved?

Has 34016 actually left the MHR? she was i believe due to be moved this week ,according to the post mensioned

Well I would not be surprised if 34016 turns up at Carnforth.

Its getting to be a busy shed if 34016/73096 both arrive.

How much space do they have there.

 

I'd always thought that the Southern engines will be based at Southall alongside 34067 when restored. Of course, I may be wrong.

 

Surely Mr Bunch will place his locomotives where he sees fit and not where others think they should be located? Would I dare comment on where your belongings should be located?

 

34016 has now been moved in to Ropley loco yard and is stabled on number three road.

 

Could she have been moved possibly to coincide with the MHR Spring Gala and then be moved after that. Given that 35028, 34046, 34007 will be operating and 34051 will be in the yard at Ropley as well.

 

Is there a report in the latest steam railway concerning both 34073 and 34016? Overheard somebody relating as such yesterday but not a beano reader so can't confirm.

 

I'm thinking it would make more sense for her to move on the Lorry bringing in Met1, as hauliers don't like running empty! (of course I could be completely wrong!!) So we'll find out later this week.......

 

34016 and 34073 neither the owner or David Smith are prepared to reveal future plans.

34073 David Smith is quoted " I don't own it, and I'm not buying it. As far as I'm concerned , it's simply here in stroage."

 

The common subterfuge of 10A then! Time will tell and the important thing is that one or both of them ultimately runs again.
The gossip circulating was that the boiler of '73 will be used on '16 initially as it's in better shape than the one sitting on the wc currently. Obviously all the usual caveats apply to what is probably uninformed speculation.
