7822 'Foxcote Manor'

Hi all,

This is a new topic regrading all the news & goings-on involving Great Western Manor loco 7822, 'Foxcote Manor' at the Llangollen Railway.

7822 has just returned back into service after 2 and a half years from her latest overhaul. 7822 returned in time for the annual Spring Steam Gala at Llangollen, where she ran for 3 days from 8th to 10th April.

7822 will next in be action along the Dee Valley for the Easter period from 22nd to 25th April. All information on running days & other news will be posted on here.

So glad that a Manor is now back in the Dee Valley where it belongs...was a great sight to see on Saturday, definitely one of the highlights of the year for me!

Swung by Carrog late saturday just in time to see 7822 pull in. Looked and sounded excellent, well done all.

 

Shame her website has disappeared.

 

Saw 7822 at Llangollen, her departure was rather spectacular as well...

 

It was mentioned at the AGM the week before the gala. If someone is willing to run a website for us, we'd be more than happy!!!

 

It's great to have 7822 back in traffic, especially after the recent demise of 7802. Well done to all at Llangollen for a pretty quick overhaul.

Just a reminder for those who are interested.
7822 Foxcote Manor is scheduled to run along the Dee Valley over the Easter period from 22nd to 25th April.
Friday & Saturday will be a timetable A service, and Sunday & Monday will be a timetable C service with 5643 and a railcar along with 7822.
Past couple of days we've had some excellent weather, and hoping it continues.

 

I will happily run a website for the loco, I'm not very local but if someone would supply the latest news etc...

The next running dates for the Llangollen's Railway flagship locomotive 'Foxcote Manor', will run on the following dates.

21st, 22nd, 28th, 29th and 30th May.

The locomotive will also haul the Real Ale train on the night of Saturday 21st May.

 

It's probably a bit early to ask, but any chance she would run on Thurs 14 July? It's the one and only chance I'll have to visit the Llangollen and would love to see her.

 

At this moment I can't say as we won't get the July loco roster published until mid/late June. And usually 7822 is rostered on weekend running days. I will keep posting 7822 running days on here, and as I speak a new website is being designed for 7822.

Website looks good Steve.

Was nice to met you in person on Sunday, and hope the experience of 7822 on the footplate is something to wet your appetite to visit again.

In June, 7822 will work trains from Monday 27th to Thursday 30th. It may also work trains on Friday 1st July but can't say for certain until the July loco roster.

 

I have updated the site today with the Steaming dates for June, and also uploaded the video to Vimeo, as well as Youtube. I have put both on the videos page but I am not sure which is better... Comments?
