It is controlled by closed circuit television monitors from a central control room.

Very cool layout, those metroviks are fantastic… but having 6 of them but only a few Duchesses...
I guess your next venture should be road widening, there looks to be some major traffic problems on those streets

the quality of O Gauge has noticeably improved in quality and attractive prices in the last few years.. the variety now available is amazing considering what it used to be.

Thanks for the comments, there are in fact 8 Duchess class locomotives running on this layout now which have been delivered since filming.

I just hope for your sake that you have excellent security. There have been too many cases of garden railways being targeted by thieves.
