The duchess's 1st trip of the year in her new colours. il be out at toton tomorrow to she hear.

anyone she her move light engine to derby today?

 

Just spoke to my mate, he went to Loughborough this afternoon to see it and was there ages and it didnt show, however on his way back to Sheffield he saw it in the bay platform at Derby, does anyone know which way it went from Butterley to Derby as it would appear it didn't go via Syston & Humberstone Road.

At least we know she is running then. There was rumours during the day that she went instead to Barrow Hill, maybe someone can confirm this.

On way back to car i saw the coaching stock pass through loughborough top n tailed with class 37 leading with a 57 on the rear. Rear part of train was all maroon stock with the front two coaches at least in intercity liveried colours, i fear these will be behind support coach on the outbound journey?

I will be out to see this today at Bolton on dearne. The loco was doing the movements to turn I guess so facing right way out of Derby. Cant see why it would do a complicated move otherwise.
Dont like the sound of the mismatch of stock but the Duchess will look good in Black !

Just back from seeing 6233 today at Pride Parkway Bridge (Derby). A great visual display greeted us after a cross country service nearly caught us all out passing moments before duchess accelerating from the station.

6233 looks absolutely stunning in her new livery! Makes me look forward to Shap even more now!!

 

Well was another one of those days, had the perfect shot this evening with a nice backdrop of a hot air balloon but something had to give and that was the train running half an hour behind time... By the time she finally passed the balloon had landed, never mind was still a grand sight. Anyway shots today are from High Ackworth, Kirkham Priory & Copmanthorpe.
