    Looks pretty bad in the village on FB. A large section of the Oak has collapsed into the beck, hopefully not as bad on the KWVR. ELR also closed north of Bury.

    The only damage, was to the river bridge just above Haworth loco yard, luckily only superficial. Other damage was limited to wet fittings in the staff accommodation block, stores building and possibly some minor damage to the loco shed workshops.
    Luckily there were staff around to prevent damage to locos and any buildings of significance. This was achieved by simply opening the shed doors to prevent water that was entering from building up.
    It was also necessary to deliberately knock down a small part of the car park wall to release water from what had become a new lido.
    The properties as seen in the news, opposite the front of Haworth station didn't fare too well.

    Lucky for the railway at least, living in a river side town my heart goes out to the folks who have had property damage though
