Looking at the pics on FB it's good to see the works plate in it's proper place under the cab number.

 

Thanks, we (collective, as I've done nothing practically on the loco) have tried very hard to get the details as right as we could. So many people deserve acknowledgement in getting to this point, it has been one heck of a journey to get this far.

 

Will you be at any of the 60103 night shoots Anthony?

 

Well, last evening my grandson had the hump, "grandad i've been to the NRM today to see it and it's still got wheels missing".
However, Mr Riley has posted pictures of the wheels arriving back at York later in the day.....as we speak he is assembling his troops for a days grafting.(no tea breaks)

 

My ticket arrived today. I am beyond excited. Literally like a kid at Christmas. Just watched the first of my Flying Scotsman dvds whilst writing for some work I am doing.

 

"We therefore uphold the claim and require that the Acme Insurance Co. pay the claimant the sum of £4472 ..." oops sorry, mind wandered...

Could do what a good friend of mine who died many years ago did, got cremated twice, once as normal but he requested his ashes were put into the firebox of anything that wasn't Great Western on Eardington Bank, SVR.

 

Didn't know that was possible, ooh err re-think in order, Birch Grove Freshfield bank.

I'm waiting for the complaint from the first person who after looking at Victors Avatar asks him out for a drink, then gets an elderly gentleman wtih wife in tow turn up

 

I think you would be a sustainable biofuel.

 

what do you mean, he would clinker up , choke the bottom airflow and the loco would have to stop for a blow up!!

 

And what have death and cremation to do with 60103's return to traffic?

 

Unfortunately just as they were discussing BR green they showed a clip of the loco in LNER guise.....

Think of the earning potential for the NRM though - Funeral trains. "The Dying Scotsman".
And to keep it nice and jolly before the Grim Reaper comes knocking, we could have a series of dining trains - "The Frying Scotsman".
I'll get my coat, taxi's already been called...!
