LE Movements

70013 is staying south for a while now rather than in Crewe. 5305 is heading back up to Carnforth this week from Loughborough after a paint refresh and an ashpan mod.

 

Does anyone know when 71000 is due to move to Bristol?

It was on UKSteam earlier .......but no times..............mind you I was up early........insomnia...........

 

Just looked again ...........it's gone but I'm glad another party saw it............otherwise I'd be worried about hallucinating with lack of sleep.............

 

No halucinations ! The move is a Class 37 diesel, not steam, so it was deleted !

Getting back to steam LE movements, do we know when 71000 is moving to Bristol by any chance ?

Good move on getting Bittern away from London during the Games by the way.

 

Is this so she can run in Braunton's place on "The Solent Pacific" on 22 September I wonder, or can we expect her to appear on a "Royal Duchy" or "WSE" for RTC between now and then perhaps ? (guaging permitting of course)

 

I could possibly see some Torbay Trips as well. It Just depends I guess.

 

Firstly, it is there to double head with 71000 for the Tamar Devonian, as it is standing in for Britannia, which has a broken spring. Then it will likely stay at Bristol for a while, possibly doing some TEs

 

Abit early to be moving for that tour, it's still 2 months or so away yet! Lot's can happen between now and then and SOS calls be made for other tours, as has happened already this year.
