Where, if at all, can I find detailed timings for the above special, especially say from Chinley to Manchester

NOT a Happy Bunny !!

Got up early (3 hours before normal time) and took a train to Stockport to photograph it crossing the viaduct; the Pullman was due to stop at Heaton Norris to let my train cross the viaduct and call at Stockport - in time to photograph the Pullman in poor weather before returning to Southport. Sadly someone authorised the Pullman to precede the local train hence waste of time ! Now warming up at home cursing whoever authorised the early move !

 

Some you win, some you lose Fred. At least you had a trip out on the train!

 

At least Fred remembered the b***dy thing was running!

 

Here it is running about seven minutes late at Norton Bridge, soon after leaving Crewe...

 

Passing Mill Hill Broadway and Luton Airport Parkway:

 

Taken only seconds before Staffordians video above the Blue Pullman is seen passing Heamies Farm just north of Norton Bridge with the return Crewe to St Pancras leg

 

I almost filmed from Heamies, and wish I had, as the vegetation in my chosen spot was a little more unruly than it was last time I filmed there.

 

Where were the water stops?
