Does anybody know, if any of the original Mk 2 Pullman coaches. Built for the West Coast electric services to Manchester, and Liverpool still exist, and if so are they still used on the main line?
I think that the Northern Belle people used them at one time

Yes, ten of them in the Platform 5 "Combined", owned by West Coast I believe.

Thanks does it show what type of brakes theyt have. When built they were vacuum braked. But I seem to think that at some time likely to be in the 'Inter-City' time. They were converted to air brakes. The reason I ask is they appear in this you tube film http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iolkD64NxeM There is plenty of heritage rolling stock in here. The Pullmans appear near the end. In as built white livery. A pleasant way to spend 12 mins
Here is another film on youtube with some nice heritage rolling stock likely to be at Stonebridge Park http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5_ta1smvXI&feature=related
Enjoy the films. But please remeber to take care when walking around rolling stock

therailwaycentre says they were converted to air braking. uksteam lists a set of them as currently owned by WCRC, but not on any tours in the last year (though this wouldn't show if they'd been used diesel hauled).

Air-braked only I believe. Definitely air-braked and I've never seen them with a vac-only loco.
