Plandampf 2016

Hello All,

Is anyone aware of any plans for a Plandampf in 2016?

I believe there will be an event in the Eisenach, Meiningen and Arnstadt area with an 01, 41 and a 50. March/April IIRC.

 

Oh right, is that the Werrabahn? Do you know if there will be freight? I'd like to see the heavy freights that are all over youtube from past Plandampfs. Is there a website?

Just found the e-mail from the organisers. 8/9/10 September are the dates. No idea where I got March/April from. The Class 50 2-10-0 is primarily a heavy freight loco and the Class 41 2-8-2 was designed as a fast freight loco so I'd say there will be freights as in past Werrabahn Plandampf events. E-mail gives no details yet about workings. Worth keeping an eye on this page http://www.ige-werrabahn-eisenach.de/veranstaltungen.html as that's were the organisers list their forthcoming events.

 

Been digging a bit further and it seems that one of the highlights of the September event is planned to be a block steel train worked by the 41 and the 50. The 01 is planned to be 01 2066.
