From on board, the first stop was in the Acton Bridge loop for pathing, then a further delay towards Acton Grange Junction, losing 18 minutes.
I think you will find that it was looped at Acton Bridge to allow faster traffic to pass, it certainly was not stopped at Winsford box going by...
It appears with hindsight that perhaps there should have been a little helper.
