    Well, it was kind of relavent because they both have a flangeless driving axle.

    This reminds me that 92220 was under attack for a long time simply for having a flangeless axle. But John Peck successfully argued several times that because many civil engineers cranes also had a flangeless axle, disqualifying a 9F 2-10-0 for the same reason could not be justified. There was another issue raised about raised check rails. But again they fell out of favour, and such a thing is hard to find in the UK these days.
