The latest issue of The Railway Magazine* reports that Steam Dreams and RTC will be having exclusive use of 60103 on rail tours when she does return to the ML.

*Had a look at a copy in Sainsburys at lunchtime as my Subscription copy seems to have vanished in the postal system
Anyone else had their copy yet in the post?

Arrived Monday, and normally get mine later than most for some reason....mind you our pot arrives after 2pm these days....

My copy also usually arrives on the Monday before it is put on sale but there is no sign of it yet. Hopefully it will be on the mat when I get home tonight otherwise I might have to send Mortons an e-mail.
I am a little bit paranoid about it as I have had a lot of stuff pinched or disappear in the post in the past. Another magazine I used to get was disappearing every issue and Royal Mail had to be investigated.

 

My copy hasn't arrived yet, may be on the mat when I get home.

Nice to see the BR number plate now in place

 

Really happy to see the number plate n the correct position. I wonder if the split handrails and lamp iron position will also be correct - would make her almost entirely correct for 1962.

 

I cant wait to see 60103 like this. When Sir Bill firsr returned it to this condition at Babcocks in Oldbury it was a 15 minute walk away. Dad offered to take me down to see it and me having a strop on I said no. Hence Im rather keen to see it in what I think is the colour and guise that suits it best.

 

They haven't drilled out the chimney yet. Doesn't look realistic like that.

 

Isnt it just a 'plug' to keep the weather out ?

 

It's a new idea to make steam more efficient - stops the heat escaping.
