Lets hear it for this very worthwhile line in Yorkshire. I popped in last Sunday; a week after their gala weekend, but a couple of the guest engines (SMR no.2 and LNER no.6284 from Lincolnshire Coast Railway) were still there. Trains were worked by these at the Shelley end and 'Badger' on the Clayton West end, so pretty good value for money!

The line runs through unspoiled countryside and has a long tunnel, plus crossing station at which we met 'Fox' on the other train. It was possible to sit in an open coach and watch the guest engines as the train went on. Refreshments at both ends.
