I know this is not a new incident but the frequency or red light jumpers beggars belief.
49 drivers have already triggered cameras in the four months so far this year by driving through the red warning lights. This represents a 350% increase on the same period last year.
Garve is one of eight level crossings in Scotland equipped with special cameras which are activated by any motorist crossing the rail line while the red warning signal is flashing. The unit photographs the vehicle and all incidents are reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
As you can see from the map, it's not likely to be a very busy road even in the 'rush hour'.
