Can anyone identify what these 2 links are and where should they fit?

Pictured next to a coupling for scale.
They most likely are part of the brake linkage of a WELTROL 40t.
We stripped the wagon for overhaul a few years back and then things got delayed and we can not remember what these are or where they fit.
    Do you know?
    Please.
    Thanks.

They are obviously meant to be attached to something, i think it would have been better to leave them attached to the thing that you detached from the wagon so that it would have been obvious what they were when you came to reattach the part that you previously detached.

I've no idea but on the basis of "What do you see" I wonder whether they are designed to ensure two spindles are spaced at a particular distance from each other as required by the distance between the hole centres?

The right hand hole appears to be bushed suggesting that it is some sort of bearing and the middle hole may be connecting to some sort of operating lever and there are signs of wear on the extreme left so is this some kind of locking catch?

Are any similar vehicles preserved elsewhere?

I believe this Weltrol is unique.
    Could be wrong though.
There are other Weltrols of a similar capacity and different bogie designs.
Ours has a Diamond frame bogie unlike the other 40t Weltrol's listed on PSL
    WELTROL E230908 40t 1939 Dukinfield.
