    Dean Forest Railway Society monthly update email this evening stated -

    The agreement also includes XP64 coach no. 4729, currently languishing at Lydney Junction in a state of disrepair. Plans are under way to obtain grant funding to restore this important piece of British carriage building history to its former glory.


    (The agreement being that all the Mk1/2s on the DFR, and 4729, have transferred ownership from the Forest of Dean Railway Limited to the Dean Forest Railway Society).

    Wensleydale Railway is now home to both of the ex-NYMR 4728 and 25508. Restoration is an aim but absestos removal required.
