    A recent visit with the Beamish staff to both Levisham and Goathland shows how both these stations and Rowley at Beamish are putting in place little details to recreate their NER heritage. All three are slightly different but very close representations.

    The Big 4 and BR owned and built their own locomotives. There are some preserved lines that own only a few locomotives - some it appears none at all that are capable of working.
    Non much authenticity there I guess. :D

    That is good to know. Is the guard who looked like he had come from the Nineteenth Century still around? Big beard? Funny how 25-30+ years after seeing these people how they stick in your mind.
