    I need to get the springs on my 25t SR 'Pill Box' Brake Van refurbished (rust between some leafs)
    Just had two quotes which range from £250 to £450 for each spring + VAT.
    Has anyone had similar work done, and what is the going rate, do we think?

    Haven't had this done but I will need to get some box van springs done in the next year or two. Talking to loco shed staff I was expecting that kind of figure. I'd be interested to know what sort of quotes you get and how the work turns out when it's done.
