This was pointed out to me in the Buses Magazine for June http://www.busesmag.com/news/?p=248

I've now found that they have there own web site http://www.devonianmotorservices.co.uk/

In the fleet they also have one of the Original Devon General Open Tops from 1960's (Admiral Blake)

Also interesting to note that they now have the rare Foden double-decker that featured in the recent BBC4 documentary about the Commercial Vehicle Museum.

The Devon General open top Atlanteans were delivered as convertible units with completely removable roofs (and upper-deck windows). I remember they scrapped a couple of old buses and reduced them to just the chassis so that each could be used as a mobile store to hold a stack of about three roofs when removed from the Atlanteans.

    Ooohhh Not in my book!

The only time I ever drove one it scared me xxxxless

£40k worth of Aston Martin in front of me in the shed and brakes that joined in when they felt like it - and this one had a PCV test!

Don't think so. They already have 2 rear engined buses. If you want to ride on a VR in South Devon, try Rail-River-Link (operated by what used to be the P&DSR).
