    Day 2 of my recent visit to North Wales was spent on the Ffestiniog Railway. The day started at Boston Lodge shed and we gradually moved along the line ending up at Glan-Y-Pwll near Blaenau Ffestiniog. Locos in use were 'Linda', 'Blanche' and visitor, 'Stanhope' which was working with some slate wagons. From mid-morning it rained continuously, however, the final scenes at Glan-Y-Pwll of 'Stanhope' shunting the slate wagons against a slate mountain backdrop wouldn't have looked half as good had it been in sun. A great day although an incredibly wet one.
    Thanks to everyone at the railway who made it an enjoyable day.
