The first one looks like a Highland Railway 'castle' class.

This information sourced from 2 sets of books that I have previously recommended to you and I strongly suggest you obtain a copy to assist your researches :

    1. Locomotives at the Grouping by HC Casserley & SW Johnson in 4 volumes [1=Southern Railway; 2=London & North Eastern Railway; 3=Lndon Midland & Scottish Railway; 4=Great Western Railway]

    2. BR Steam Locomotives from Nationalisation to Modernisation by A Williams & D Percival in 4 volumes [1=Western Region; 2=Southern Region; 3=London Midland; 4=Eastern Region]

All were published by Ian Allan in the 1960s and, whilst possibly difficult to find, would be worth the effort to buy a set for your ongoing researches.
