I have tried to look up a thread for the Scot but nothing appeared when I advanced searched it.
I really hope that 2013 is a good year for this locomotive. It has been a rough go for her lately. I hope to see her have a bunch of sucess this year.

Mike . Not sure what you are after here . She is WCRC locomotive so news is not going to be the most readily available. I'm sure she'll be part of the pool for S&C and Scarborough work this summer

As you say Mike it's had quite a difficult time recently. I think it's a dam fine locomotive, I had a run behind it on The White Rose, Leeds- KX, I think Ron Smith was driving, the thing went like a dream all the way.

I've had 2 fantastic runs behind this machine. The first it set a new record for an 11 coach load up Shap. The second was the best railtour i've ever been on with an immense performance (& load) up the Highland to Inverness last year. The sound as we attacked the gradients around Blair Atholl will remain with me for a lifetime. On its day and in the right hands this is a superb loco.

I'm just hoping she has a great string of successful trips this year. This is not a thread of news unless it becomes one. I'm just hoping for the best.

I was stood in the cold rain at Drumochter and could hear her coming for some time before she came into view. A really impressive engine.

Agreed, 46115 is a very impressive beast. That three-cylinder roar reverberating off the hills around Selside adds its own uniqueness and is a sound that sticks in the mind forever.

Had a fantastic run behind 46115 back in September 2009 from Liverpool to York & return. After this, she quickly became a favourite of mine.

When it's done the SSE, the climb from Wakefield Kirkgate up to Outwood, it sure as hell has woken "the lads" in Wakefield top security nick (and all the rest of Wakefield). Nobody sleeps when that thing is pulling hard uphill.

I hope all goes well for the Scot this coming week/or next in getting her run-in and pulling trains again.
Another surprise for the WCME seasons, she is the perfect fit I believe.

Having her back out on the road and in 1st Class condition shall give Mr. Smith and Carnforth a boost in confidence and hopefully some relief as well. My fingers are crossed.

Where's the Carnforth webcam when you need it? Have you fixed up that video camera to your gyrocopter yet, Ralph?

Well, videos are starting to popup on my youtube page so this test is official!
The loco sounded good. Just some small adjustments and she will be good to go.

I'll give Stephen Thompson credit on informing us about today's test run a few days ago.

Scots Guardsman Loaded test run 6th Feb.

Much panic caused this afternoon as the scheduled stop at Hellifield was reduced and SG was running 40+ minutes early. Quite a few heading for their locations were met by smoke disappearing into the distance.

Footage of LMS 46115 Scots Guardsman on her loaded test run filmed by a good friend Mark.
Work commitments stopped me being able to catch the run but Marks coverage made up for that.
