Thanks Ralph , I was a tad worried but the same thing happened on the Fellsman on the 10th of June so I picked this location hoping the same would happen . Not sure why the severe slack but there are a lot of land works going on in that area .

 

A very enjoyable clip there Steve, such a fabulous sound as the train was accelerated up the line with that wonderful 3-cylinder beat, well captured and many thanks for sharing.

With Aisgill Summit tamed, LMS 5XP Class 4-6-0 No. 45690 'Leander' begins the run down to Garsdale with the return leg of the 'Dalesman'

 

Cracking shots Shep , really like the Aisgill shot as you positioned yourself just right as not to get the big grey NR box in your shot on the left .

The aesthetics of a Jubilee on that length of train look just right to me, somehow better proportioned than with a longer train. Great coverage too by all posters.

 

Anyone know whats hauling todays train? Also are the return times as normal? Doesn't seem to be showing on RTT??

There is a glitch in RTT as the return times along with the Hellifield-Carnforth move are not showing up. The normal return times are in the system !

 

Galatea today. 15 early at Blea Moor, having left Hellifield only 5 early.

 

And the load is 9 today also.
