Austerity 0-6-0ST "68009" ran as Percy for a short time a year or so before the GCR sold it to the North Norfolk. It wasn't an entirely convincing Percy, it must be said! (Actually I think for copyright reasons it might have been named "Percival").

Actually 47327 is one of my favourite Thomas's as the shape is better.

Going back to the Percy thing I believe that Lady Angela on the SDR used to masquerade as Percy.

And of course everyone is forgetting the 25 D7535 at Paignton which masquerades as Boco.

Yes, with a virtually brand new copper firebox but a knackered outer wrapper! Opposite of the norm but almost the same end result. A lot of money required.

I also saw it at Carnforth on a short track near the turntable well rusty looking, would like to know what its being restored to, The Furness Railway Trusts No 20 was restored to original style (don't know exact details) by apprentices at Barrow shipyard (correct me if I'm wrong) but what is No 18 being restored as?
Is there a blog somewhere or forum with latest info somewhere.
Hope its not being restored as percy!

Going right back to the original post. i wonder why Rory was asking about water capacity. Are there plans to have Thomas stretch his legs a little more at next years P&DSR DOWT event?

Surely Thomas can't go any further than she does at present due to signalling, I believe it was mentioned once before andf if she does she won't be able to do the 2/3 trains she does now and they are usually full enough.
