Anyone know when will it get its name plates and will there be an official naming ceromony or will they just be put on it one day?

 

Its a massive shame that they didnt actually do this... And stick a dead 225 behind...

 

Thanks for putting these on. In the second what is the light that can be seen under the footplate facing the tender? Was this part of the testing process gear?

 

I love the glow of steam engines at night, In 2006 I saw 60009 speeding on the ECML to Retford and it was 1 and a half hours late, then went over to another crossing where a guy with a phone said it will be here in 10, so rushed back to the previous spot and it was fantastic.
Back on Tornado, hopefully a visit to Norfolk will be in place for 2009 [-o<
If not might even have to make the journey to Peterborough.

 

Was the chap in part one the wrong side of the fence?

The naming will not take place until next year - the date has not yet been decided - but there will be an official ceremony. 1.00pm on 13th December at the NRM is the unveiling in new livery in the presence of our covenantors. Hope this helps.

Do you mean the one stood on the viewing platform at The Sidings at the start? Surely he shouldn't be down trackside...

 

He isnt on or near the line or on or near the lineside and has no reason to be wearing HV. But for reasons of his own - he wears it anyway. Maybe he thinks it is slimming - or, just maybe its because it gives him a sense of self importance... With his Nikon Coolpix...

 

So standing basically at the foot of the catenary post with the rail clearly visible, unobstructed, behind him isn't on the lineside?

 

No I think this is so the fireman can see the injector.

The idiot is definately Trackside and as such should be prosecuted unless he had an official reason to be there. Somehow I think not.
You can see just beyond him the nearest rails of the Up Slow and no fence in between.

 

Once again i bow to your greater self as i did not watch the video properly and assumed he was in the viewing area with the others. In this case would somebody like to pass the details on to the BTP at York with a link to the clip...
