East Sussex County Council has published the report on the Lewes - Uckfield reopening available in pdf here

Uckfield Town Council, which helped to fund the Lewes - Uckfield project report, has now voiced its concerns over the report's conclusions and methodology in a memo forwarded to other local councils. It is believed that the council has correctly identified major weaknesses in the report, which are likely to become the focus of debate over the coming months.

With the Lewes - Uckfield report now in the public domain, Wealden Line Campaign published their initial response to the study.

In short, they believe that the engineering component of the report is useful because it shows how easily the route could be restored, but the business analysis is flawed because it deliberately poses the wrong questions. And, unfortunately, when you ask the wrong questions, it doesn't matter what answers you get.
