I would like to know where this locomotive is currently based. Ive clicked all round the web and as far as I can see its currently residing at an undisclosed location in Poole?. I would just be interested in finding out who is restoring it and where it is? Anyone know?

Edit May 2023. Its in the process of being purchased by S&D Railway Heritage Trust at Midsomer Norton details here.

There's a few 9Fs currently under the radar, 92212 springs to mind & 92219 which is stored at leeming bar on the wensleydale railway.

Yeah I saw a site - cunarder but no updates on it at all for a few years.

I know it was at Shillingstone (its not now) it went on a low loader to the GDSF and then seems to have disappeared to a location in 'Poole'. There was a rumour floating around that it was at the Swanage Railway works but its not there as far as I can tell as they haven't got much room anyway.

So I am guessing that it is tucked away in a warehouse somewhere

I don't think its there, as it would be listed on all the sites - they can't all be making typos - I know they have 35018 and some other smaller boilers but I don't think they have 92207 as well although no-one seems to have taken any photos round there for a while either?

92207 is at a private site in the Poole area. It is being worked on by the owner and his team.

My mistake but interesting to see that 92207 is being worked somewhere still?

I know where the loco is, I have done some looking around and it is at the old MoD factory in Holton Heath. No public access but as far as I know, it is being restored there.

There is still a 9f boiler at Bury with 92207 painted on the front end.

Is the boiler at Bury from 92245?
    Also - Does 92207 have a tender?
It looks like it's only a couple of years away from running now....

I believe the boiler from 92245 is at Crewe for repair so it can be fitted to 92212
No, unless one has been built very quickly and with absolutely no publicity!
That's a surprising statement, as the last I heard, it wasn't even a completed chassis. Have you got a link or something else to back this statement up?

I was only extrapolating from snippets of news. Going by the pictures the pony truck got chopped at Barry, so I’m guessing that it’s now fitted with 92245’s. The pictures looked like it’s a rolling chassis now but I haven’t seen it up close since I saw it at Shillingstone in the 2000s and it certainly looked untouched then. If they’ve moved to a proper engineering facility then that will help a lot. All news is welcome!

I'm not clear whether 92207 'got chopped' as such but 92245 definitely lost it's pony wheels whilst at Woodhams due to a shunting derailment.
92245 was one of the "Barry Ten' which gravitated to Bute Street in Cardiff and then onto Barry again for a static display afaik. The boiler from 92245 is at LSL Crewe and is a swap spare for 92212 at Mid Hants.
Also afaik, neither 92207 0r unrestored 92219 at Wensleydale (or in fact 92245!) have tenders
92134 currently has borrowed tender from 73050 whilst 92212, 92214, 92240 and 92220 have tenders
you will find rods & running gear in use from these locos (as expected) plus 92085 which was cut at Woodhams in 1980. 92134 has some coupling rods stamped 92207 for instance whilst 92212 has at least one of it's conn rods stamped 92085.

Edit : yes, you're correct, looking on Flickr and 92207 also had it's Pony wheels cut whilst at Woodhams. https://www.flickr.com/photos/25691...Yt-umLbNA-9DXDsV-8LXYou-24BgQ6y-79WPx8-ppFYwF
