    V2s cut up at Swindon were taken there specifically to recover their tenders for conversion to snowploughs. I can recall standing on Swindon station one wednedsday mid day when one V2, number now forgotten, hauled two dead class mates through the station from the east & into the works yard.
    They did'nt just go for scrapping.
