    Can anyone confirm if this is now based at the Dean Forest Railway or just on loan from the SVR?

    Hi Steve I think you will find its the other way round.

    The 08 in question is owned by the Dean Forrest Diesel Association and has been on extended hire to the SVR for around 7 years i think.

    It has now returned to the Dean Forrest for an engine top end overhaul and Vac system repairs according to the DFDA's website.

    SVR News says it has retuned to the DFR, although it may return later
