Timings are now available for 6233 Duchess of Sutherland (all being well) to haul the

Apparently not. According to the email sent by RTC earlier they are yet to receive final timings. They hope to get these tomorrow.

These timings have been on RTT for a couple of weeks now and match the outline times on RTCs website...

Any idea what West Somerset loco will be hauling the train to and from Minehead?

    Couple of questions:
    1) Is this steam hauled in both directions? Some of them in recent times have been steam on the outward leg only.
    2) If so is it returning via the Berks and Hants? I thought there was a gauging issue up there or has that been resolved?

Tickets confirm steam hauled both ways assume as per RTT as times match.

46233 on the mainline and 53808 confirmed on the Wizzer.

6233 Duchess of Sutherland + 11 coaches has just departed from Paddington on time.

The 0Z29 light engine will return to Southall as planned. <BJ>

Bad news I'm afraid. It may be coincidence but this doesn't look good.

''Various lineside fires between Castle Cary and Taunton after Duchess of Sutherland passed.''

''Embankment fire at Somerton, fire services requested line to be closed for access''.

From Network Rail: ''A property on fire near the railway between Castle Cary and Taunton is causing disruption to journeys between these stations.
Services may be cancelled, delayed or revised''.

1C79 Padd - Penzance (the train that followed 6233) was delayed at Somerton by 15 min.
1C80 Padd - Newquay delayed by 67 mins.
1C81 Padd- Penzance delayed by 68 mins.
    1A82 Penzance - Padd delayed by 75 mins. <BJ>

I hope this doesn't have repercussions for other lines.

Don't like the sound of the lineside fires with tomorrow's TBE due that way. All the rain's in the South East and in Cumbria

''All lines have been reopened following a property on fire near the railway between Castle Cary and Taunton earlier today.

We anticipate disruption will continue until 17:00''. <BJ>

Dear old 60009 did the Dorset run during the week, without leaving her calling card and with a higher temperatures as well. Maybe all will be well in that case.

The flames from a lineside fire could. Let's hope that the incident was a coincidence and await the full facts to emerge. <BJ>

We had a problem last year at this time with fire risk. 'Union of South Africa' ran from Padd to the WSR on 28th July with a 47 tucked in behind the tender.

Let's hope we're not facing a case of deja vu?

    Update:
There doesn't appear to be a rescue loco en route to the WSR and so I'm hoping that the Duchess will depart without assistance. <BJ>

It had an assisting Cl47 on the back.
